What a return from the Mexican.

The official judges' scorecards have been revealed following Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez's unanimous decision victory over Christian Mbilli in Riyadh. Canelo reclaimed the WBC super middleweight title with scores of 115-112 from Barry Lindenmann, 116-111 from Guido Cavalleri, and 117-110 from Jorge Gorini. The bout handed Mbilli the first defeat of his professional career.
Mbilli started energetically but was docked points for hits to the back of the head, notably in round eight. Canelo landed heavier counterpunches throughout the middle rounds to build his lead. Despite a late push by Mbilli across the final rounds, Canelo secured the win to advance his record to 64-3-2.
