Anthony Joshua reportedly sacrificed an eight-figure sum of over £10 million ($13 million) to ensure his upcoming bout against Tyson Fury takes place in the United Kingdom instead of the United States. The long-awaited heavyweight fight has been officially signed and is scheduled to take place at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on December 11.

Promoter Eddie Hearn revealed that Joshua chose to accept the substantial purse reduction following appeals from British boxing supporters. Additionally, Turki Alalshikh claimed at a recent press conference that shifting the event from New York's Madison Square Garden to Cardiff resulted in an overall loss of £53 million ($70 million).
