There's tension in the Delhi camp. They have mustered just four points in three Ranji Trophy matches.
Delhi captain Ayush Badoni prepared for his breakout Ranji Trophy campaign by focusing exclusively on red-ball practice and attending meditation sessions. Badoni has dominated the current domestic season, scoring 535 runs across four innings, including two double centuries at a 90 strike rate. Ahead of Delhi's upcoming match against Services at the Palam Air Force ground, Badoni is aiming to earn consideration for India's Test team.
Badoni explained that he exclusively practiced with the red ball after the IPL and during the Delhi Premier League to improve his concentration and temperament. Delhi head coach Vijay Dahiya praised the batter's newfound restraint at the crease. Badoni has also dedicated extra time to developing his off-spin bowling to bolster his all-round readiness for national team selectors.
