BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia clarifies that the opening ODI against Sri Lanka will remain in Delhi as scheduled.
BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia dismissed reports suggesting the opening ODI between India and Sri Lanka will be shifted from Delhi to Ahmedabad. Media reports had previously claimed that ongoing construction work at Arun Jaitley Stadium would force a change of venue, but Saikia confirmed that the fixture remains scheduled for Delhi on December 13.
Saikia reiterated that bilateral fixtures are assigned according to a standardized framework, urging media to rely strictly on official BCCI announcements. The full tour runs from December 13 to December 27, 2026, and features three ODIs hosted in Delhi, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad, followed by three T20Is in Rajkot, Cuttack, and Pune.
