Kasi Viswanathan suggests MS Dhoni may continue playing for Chennai Super Kings, though the 45-year-old missed the entire IPL 2026 season due to injuries.
Chennai Super Kings CEO Kasi Viswanathan has indicated that 45-year-old MS Dhoni could return to play in IPL 2027. While noting that the final decision rests entirely with the veteran wicketkeeper-batter, Viswanathan stated he has a feeling that chances remain for Dhoni to continue playing for the franchise.
Dhoni missed the entire IPL 2026 season due to injury issues, though former coach Stephen Fleming noted he remained influential off the field. Former teammate Suresh Raina also revealed he urged Dhoni to return, adding that Dhoni appeared open to considering a comeback.
