India batter Harmanpreet Kaur leaves her role as national team captain across all three formats of international cricket.

India batter Harmanpreet Kaur has stepped down as national team captain across all three formats of international cricket. The 37-year-old announced her decision on Instagram, stating that she leaves the squad in a "good place" and is ready to play purely for the love of the game again. Her departure follows India's group-stage exit at the recent T20 World Cup.
Harmanpreet captained India in five Tests, 51 ODIs, and 155 T20Is, leading the team to a 50-over World Cup title and consecutive Asian Games titles. Her announcement came after meeting with head coach Amol Muzumdar, BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia, and vice-captain Smriti Mandhana, who is widely expected to assume the captaincy.
