In WBBL|12, the Heat are returning to the approach that saw them make seven consecutive finals series…

Brisbane Heat are refocusing on their core local Queensland roster under new captain Georgia Redmayne for WBBL|12. The Heat are seeking to bounce back from a winless WBBL|11 campaign, in which they finished last after recording zero wins across nine completed matches.
The franchise has opted to sign only two overseas players, securing England leg-spinner Sarah Glenn and Ireland allrounder Orla Prendergast. Redmayne took over the captaincy from Jess Jonassen, while left-arm quick Lucy Hamilton returns to lead the bowling attack following her senior international breakthrough with Australia.
