Kiwi allrounder primed for a full BBL campaign with the Melbourne Renegades after opting for a casual contract with New Zealand Cricket

New Zealand allrounder Michael Bracewell has signed with the Melbourne Renegades for the upcoming BBL|16 season. The move follows New Zealand Cricket confirming that the 35-year-old transitioned from a central contract to a casual playing contract, granting him the flexibility to participate in franchise tournaments without rigid international schedule constraints.
Bracewell becomes the Renegades' second international recruit inside a week, joining England wicketkeeper-batter Jonny Bairstow. Head coach Luke Ronchi praised Bracewell's versatility as an off-spinner, batter, and experienced leader, while the club still retains four roster spots ahead of the new campaign.
