WA off-spinner Corey Rocchiccioli is poised to break a three-year Big Bash drought with Sydney Sixers

Western Australia off-spinner Corey Rocchiccioli has signed a one-year deal with the Sydney Sixers for the upcoming BBL|16 season. The move ends Rocchiccioli's three-year absence from Big Bash match action and fills a key vacancy after frontline spinner Todd Murphy left for the Melbourne Stars and Ben Manenti joined the Melbourne Renegades.
Sixers general manager Rachael Haynes highlighted Rocchiccioli's wicket-taking ability and bounce as vital assets for the squad's middle overs. Rocchiccioli has taken 154 Sheffield Shield wickets since the 2021-22 season and will partner with left-arm orthodox bowler Joel Davies in the Sixers' spin attack under head coach Matthew Mott.
