Since 1985, the trophy had been awarded to the winners of bilateral ODI series between the two teams

The Rose Bowl trophy contested between the Australian and New Zealand women's cricket teams has been expanded to include T20Is. Previously contested solely across bilateral ODI series since 1985, the upcoming three-match T20I series at North Sydney Oval will serve as the first T20I edition of the competition.
For series featuring both white-ball formats, the trophy will go to the team with the most overall wins, with the reigning holder retaining it in the event of a draw. Australia have continuously held the Rose Bowl since 2000, having won 26 of the 31 ODI series played.
