All the latest team news and insights ahead of round three of Australia's premier first-class competition…

Cricket Australia has begun revealing the squads for round three of the Sheffield Shield competition, starting with the clash between South Australia and Western Australia at Adelaide Oval. Western Australia will be captained by Hilton Cartwright after regular skipper Aaron Hardie was ruled out due to a shoulder injury, with Joel Paris also sidelined because of a hamstring strain. Spin-bowling allrounder Ashton Agar is WA's sole inclusion for the match.
South Australia has recalled Wes Agar, Matthew Gilkes, and Mackenzie Harvey to their squad. They will be without opener Henry Hunt, who entered concussion protocols following a blow to the helmet against Queensland, while Harry Nielsen has been omitted and Henry Thornton is on parental leave.
