Strikers boost top-order talent with England opener

The Adelaide Strikers have signed England opening batter Maia Bouchier on a one-year deal for Weber WBBL|12. Bouchier completes the club's overseas player contingent alongside South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt and England spinner Sophie Ecclestone. The move also reunites the 27-year-old with head coach Luke Williams, whom she previously played under at Southern Brave.

Bouchier joins the Strikers after previously representing the Melbourne Stars in the Women's Big Bash League. She enters the competition following a strong run of form in international and county cricket, which includes an ODI century against Ireland and consecutive hundreds for Hampshire.
