"It's a good period now to really start to try and nestle down, hone in on the skills and the lessons that we've learned"

England captain Harry Brook wants his team to become one of the fittest and strongest sides ahead of the 2027 World Cup. Returning to Perth ahead of a three-match ODI series against Australia starting on November 13 at Optus Stadium, Brook stressed that improving preparation and conditioning will be central to the team's long-term success.
To prepare, England will play a warm-up match on Saturday against Western Australia at the WACA ground. The team faces several selection decisions, including whether to recall spinner Adil Rashid and where to place Jacob Bethell following his return from a knee injury.
