England's white-ball bowler says he would consider red-ball cricket if the new Test leadership makes an approach.
England bowler Jamie Overton has revealed he would consider returning to Test cricket if approached by Test captain Joe Root and head coach Stephen Fleming. Overton had stepped back from first-class cricket to focus on limited-overs formats, but he confirmed his body is currently in a good place and he has not ruled out playing red-ball cricket again.
Overton praised Fleming's calm coaching approach, comparing him to Brendon McCullum after working under him at Chennai Super Kings alongside bowling coach Eric Simons. He also expressed ambition to fulfill a middle-overs enforcer role similar to Liam Plunkett at the upcoming World Cup in southern Africa.
