The Boxing Federation of India (BFI) has suspended secretary general Pramod Kumar with immediate effect over alleged financial irregularities, misuse of authority, and failure to cooperate with internal investigations. BFI president Ajay Singh issued the interim suspension order pending an inquiry into unapproved broadcasting arrangements and Kumar's attempt to call an unauthorized meeting to pursue a no-confidence motion against Singh.
The suspension follows Kumar's letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi accusing federation officials of criminal intimidation. The inquiry involves an unapproved work order concerning Rs 1.5 crore claimed by Pinnacle Broadcast Productions, as well as Kumar's repeated failure to answer questions regarding the last-minute cancellation of a national championship in Nahan.
