India's head coach reiterated his concern for pitches in white-ball cricket after the run-fest in Ranchi

India head coach Gautam Gambhir called for a more balanced contest between bat and ball in white-ball cricket, warning that bowlers' careers are at stake on flat pitches. Gambhir made the remarks after West Indies successfully chased down 250 with nine balls to spare in the second T20I in Ranchi, leveling the five-match series at 1-1.
Despite India reducing the visitors to 58 for 3, Shai Hope's unbeaten 102 and Sherfane Rutherford's 84 led West Indies to their highest-ever successful T20I chase. Gambhir praised fast bowler Mayank Yadav for his 3 for 36 spell and defended India's tactical decisions, including promoting Shivam Dube to No. 4, while insisting the team will not shrug off the defeat.
