India crashed out of the main cup championship race at the Hong Kong Sixes 2026 after suffering consecutive Pool C defeats against Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates. Captained by Krunal Pandya, the Indian side finished at the bottom of the group without a point, dropping them into the lower-tier Bowl competition. Meanwhile, Pakistan rebounded from an opening defeat against the UAE to qualify for the next stage.
Pakistan defeated India by four wickets with 13 balls remaining, bolstered by captain Abbas Afridi hitting five consecutive sixes against Pandya. The UAE clinched the top spot in Pool C by winning a thrilling contest against Pakistan by one wicket and chasing down India's total of 94 runs in just 4.2 overs to win by six wickets. India subsequently moved to play England in the Bowl semi-finals.
