Tilak Varma has had to adapt to a new role in India’s T20I middle order after losing his No. 3 spot to Ishan Kishan, but the 23-year-old is confident he can switch between roles and deliver for the team.

Indian batter Tilak Varma acknowledged that moving down from number three to the middle order is challenging, but stated he has "no option" due to team combinations. Speaking after the fifth T20I against West Indies, the 23-year-old explained that Ishan Kishan's strong performances at number three prompted his shift to batting at numbers five or six.
Varma expressed confidence in his ability to adapt to finishing games, noting that he possesses the technique to adjust between different positions. He also emphasized the necessity of mental toughness for international cricketers when handling frequent travel and shifting match roles.
