The shrug of the shoulder said it all when Sarfaraz Khan was asked about his absence from the India Test set-up.
Mumbai batter Sarfaraz Khan has spoken out about his ongoing motivation, his father's support, and recent exclusions from the Indian national cricket setup. After being overlooked for India A's tour of New Zealand, the 29-year-old admitted he sometimes questions his demanding training routine but continues to push forward to honor his father, Naushad Khan, and remain ready for any opportunity.
Sarfaraz addressed the perception that he is solely suited for Indian conditions, pointing to intra-squad centuries scored in South Africa and England as counter-evidence. The batter also revealed he has shed 22 kilograms, reducing his weight from 97kg to 77kg, while continuing his strong domestic form by scoring a 55 for Mumbai against Railways.
