Mohsin Naqvi unlikely to get ACC presidency extension; Tamim Iqbal in contention

Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Mohsin Naqvi is unlikely to receive an extension as Asian Cricket Council president when his term concludes on April 2, 2027. According to a Cricbuzz report, at least three of the five ACC Full Members plan to oppose extending his tenure, preventing the unanimous agreement needed for an extension.

Bangladesh Cricket Board president Tamim Iqbal is next in line under the rotational system and is reportedly keen to assume the role. The ACC presidency rotates every two years among India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan, with Bangladesh scheduled to take over next.
