In the ninth over, both players ran to catch a mistimed shot from Pakistan batter Hasan Nawaz, resulting in slight contact and a dropped catch.

Despite the fielding mishap, India went on to defeat Pakistan by 19 runs to claim the gold medal. India posted 211/6 before restricting Pakistan to 192/6 at the Korogi Sports Park in Nisshin, securing their second consecutive Asian Games men's cricket title.
