David Miller commits to South Africa despite losing CSA contract

Veteran batter David Miller has been left off Cricket South Africa's central contracts list for the 2026–27 cycle running from June 1, 2026, to May 31, 2027. Despite losing his hybrid deal, the 36-year-old stated ahead of South Africa's white-ball tour to Australia that he remains fully committed and available for selection across both white-ball formats.

Miller holds 178 caps and 4,611 runs for South Africa, placing him among the squad's most experienced players behind Quinton de Kock. His omission coincides with national contracts being awarded to younger talents like Dewald Brevis, Matthew Breetzke, Ottneil Baartman, Corbin Bosch, and Karabo Meso under head coach Shukri Conrad.
