They breached Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct in Cape Town for showing dissent after Marques Ackerman's dismissal in the second innings…

South Africa batting coach Ashwell Prince and batter Kyle Verreynne have received official reprimands and one demerit point each from the ICC. The sanctions were issued for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct during the third day of the Cape Town Test against Australia. Both were found guilty of showing dissent following the dismissal of opener Marques Ackerman.
Ackerman was caught off Mitchell Starc, but umpires determined the 15-second DRS review window had expired. Prince reacted by repeatedly shouting at officials, while Verreynne urged Ackerman to remain inside the boundary line. Both individuals admitted to Article 2.8 violations and accepted the penalties proposed by match referee Javagal Srinath.
