Former Pakistan head coach Saqlain Mushtaq has rejected allegations made by former spinner Tauseef Ahmed regarding Shadab Khan's national team selection. Speaking on ARY News, Saqlain denied claims that he contacted Tauseef to push for his son-in-law Shadab's inclusion, stating the two never actually spoke by phone. Saqlain maintained that Tauseef's accusations of having recorded calls concerning selection pressure are completely false.
Saqlain clarified that their communication occurred two years ago strictly through missed calls, messages, and a voice note addressing hurtful remarks. He asserted that he has messages and screenshots disproving the claims, emphasizing that Shadab was already established as Pakistan's vice-captain before marrying his daughter.
