Earlier in the match, West Indies were bowled out for 171 in 19.1 overs, with Sherfane Rutherford scoring 56 and Shai Hope adding 52. Debutant Naman Dhir was India's standout bowler, taking three wickets for 31 runs, while Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav claimed two wickets apiece.
