Taskin took three to dent Zimbabwe early but the pair added 150 runs to revive the team

Craig Ervine and Brendan Taylor staged a 150-run fourth-wicket partnership to guide Zimbabwe to 271 for 8 against Bangladesh in Abu Dhabi. After Taskin Ahmed dismantled Zimbabwe's top order inside seven overs, Taylor scored 81 and Ervine added 93 to rescue the innings. During his knock, Taylor became Zimbabwe's all-time leading run-scorer in ODI cricket, surpassing Andy Flower.
Taskin dismissed Brian Bennett, Ben Curran, and Tafadzwa Tsiga early, finishing with figures of 3 for 44. Bangladesh fought back with wickets from part-timer Saif Hassan and Shoriful Islam, but late hitting from Wellington Masakadza and Newman Nyamhuri pushed Zimbabwe to their competitive total.
