Former India pacer suggests including left-arm wrist-spinner for series finale at Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Former India fast bowler Varun Aaron has called for wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav to be selected for the fifth and deciding T20I against the West Indies at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. With the five-match series tied at 2-2, Aaron argued on Star Sports that an attacking, wicket-taking approach is essential at a venue known for high scores.
India lost the fourth T20I by 24 runs after conceding 247/3 against Shai Hope's unbeaten century. Aaron recommended deploying a five-bowler attack and batting down to number seven, noting that defensive bowling strategies at Bengaluru often backfire. Kuldeep previously claimed three wickets across the opening two games of the series.
