Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur has stated he is not sure whether Red Bull is currently Formula 1's best team, despite Max Verstappen securing consecutive victories in Malaysia and Singapore. Vasseur dismissed the notion that Red Bull is the outright team to beat, pointing out that race-winning form has fluctuated repeatedly between Mercedes, Ferrari, McLaren, and Red Bull throughout the season due to evolving car upgrades.
Vasseur noted that track position into Turn 1 was decisive for Verstappen's Marina Bay victory over Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, as following closely severely hindered performance. His perspective contrasts with Mercedes driver George Russell, who previously labeled Red Bull as the frontrunner following their recent run of strong results.
