Max Verstappen will make his GT World Challenge Europe debut this weekend at the season finale in Portimao. Verstappen is stepping in to drive the #3 Verstappen Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 alongside Chris Lulham and Ben Barnicoat after regular drivers Daniel Juncadella and Jules Gounon were called to a clashing World Endurance Championship round in Barcelona.
The three-hour endurance race at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve marks the series' return to the track since 2015. Although Maro Engel, Lucas Auer, and Luca Stolz have already secured the championship titles, the event will also feature Verstappen sharing a grid with MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi.
