Liam Lawson has been one of F1's top performers this season, but does not yet know whether he will be racing in the championship next year.

Liam Lawson believes he has done everything possible to secure his Formula 1 seat with Racing Bulls ahead of an expected decision on his future in the coming weeks. The New Zealander holds ninth place in the drivers' standings with 65 points, having helped Racing Bulls secure fifth in the constructors' championship while also deputizing for Isack Hadjar at Red Bull across three rounds.
Despite his strong performances, Lawson faces competition for a 2027 seat from junior driver Nikola Tsolov. Racing Bulls team principal Alan Permane and CEO Peter Bayer are reportedly pleased with Lawson and teammate Arvid Lindblad, but Lawson confirmed conversations remain ongoing as he focuses on finishing the season strongly.
