Red Bull boss Laurent Mekies has admitted there has been attention from "a lot of teams" about his outfit's power unit performance.

Red Bull boss Laurent Mekies revealed that rival Formula 1 teams have shown interest in the Red Bull-Ford Powertrains engine following its strong debut season in 2026. Despite rumors linking struggling Aston Martin to a potential switch, Mekies stated Red Bull is not ready to supply additional customer teams and will remain focused solely on Red Bull and Racing Bulls.
Aston Martin currently sits 10th in the Constructors' Championship with only seven points while using Honda power units. However, Aston Martin team principal Adrian Newey expressed optimism regarding new Honda development projects, voicing confidence that the Japanese manufacturer will resolve their current performance deficit.
