Fresh questions have been raised over the viability of holding the Qatar and Abu Dhabi Grands Prix at the end of the current F1 season.

Fresh concerns have emerged regarding whether Formula 1 can safely hold its final races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi following recent attacks in the Middle East. Recent strikes on King Khalid International Airport in Saudi Arabia and a tanker incident near Qatar have escalated security and logistical worries for traveling personnel. Despite these events, F1 and the FIA maintain that the existing calendar remains in place while they consult with authorities.
F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali previously confirmed plans to race, but team principals anticipate a definitive ruling in mid-October. The report notes that financial considerations, specifically substantial sanctioning fees tied to who officially cancels the events, may be delaying an official resolution between Liberty Media and local promoters.
