Lando Norris is unsure if McLaren's upgrades at this weekend's Sao Paulo Grand Prix will improve the "horrible" handling on the car.

McLaren driver Lando Norris has expressed doubts over whether new upgrades introduced for the Sao Paulo Grand Prix will resolve his car's difficult handling. McLaren brought a new front wing, rear wing, and floor components to Brazil as the team attempts to defend its position in the Constructors' Championship standings. Norris noted that while the package aims to add pure performance, it could potentially make the MCL40 even more challenging to drive.
Norris described the car as difficult throughout the 2026 season and stated that McLaren has fallen behind rivals Mercedes, Ferrari, and Red Bull in the development race. Despite failing to mount a strong title defense, Norris insisted the season is not a failure, citing sacrifices made while securing the 2025 championships ahead of major regulatory changes.
