Esteban Ocon's career as a Formula 1 race driver is over - at least for the foreseeable future - after falling out with Haas. Andrew Benson looks at what the future holds for the Frenchman.

Esteban Ocon has been dropped by Haas for the remainder of the Formula 1 season following a falling-out with team principal Ayao Komatsu during the Mexico City Grand Prix weekend. The incident reportedly began over a tyre-strategy dispute during Friday practice, which escalated into post-session arguments. Ocon was already set to depart the team at the end of the year, but the confrontation abruptly brought forward his exit.
Ocon denied allegations of physical violence in a social media statement following media reports, with lawyers now involved. Throughout his tenure at Haas, Ocon was regularly outperformed by teammate Oliver Bearman and faced internal criticism regarding accountability, mirroring previous turbulent departures from Alpine and Force India. Ocon now aims to find a reserve driver role to salvage his F1 career.
