Oliver Bearman failed to make it past the opening qualifying segment on Saturday in Sepang.

Oliver Bearman revealed that a major setup error during Friday's second practice session caused his early qualifying exit at the Malaysian Grand Prix. The Haas driver qualified 18th after an unintended setup was applied to his car for FP2, leaving him underprepared and unable to advance past Q1 alongside teammate Esteban Ocon.
Although Haas corrected the setup for Saturday's FP3 at Sepang, Bearman explained he was left playing catch-up compared to rivals. Bearman declined to blame any single individual, attributing the mishap to rushed processes within the team.
