Oscar Piastri has spotted a trend he feels McLaren must jump on at the Bahrain Grand Prix in Sepang.

McLaren driver Oscar Piastri expressed hope that his team can move toward the front of a closely matched field in Sepang. After a difficult opening practice where Piastri finished 11th and teammate Lando Norris placed 12th, McLaren recovered ground in FP2, with Norris setting the third-fastest time and Piastri finishing sixth.
Piastri noted that rivals Red Bull, Ferrari, and Mercedes all showed strong pace across Friday's practice sessions. Although he acknowledged McLaren remains slightly behind the frontrunners, he hopes the team can sustain its upward trajectory following productive setup improvements.
