Jolyon Palmer thinks Rafael Camara showed his “inexperience” when he impeded Charles Leclerc in FP2 at the 2026 F1 Sao Paulo Grand Prix, but Bernie…

Pundits Jolyon Palmer and Bernie Collins offered conflicting views after Haas debutant Rafael Camara impeded Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc during FP2 at the 2026 Sao Paulo Grand Prix. Both drivers were summoned to the FIA stewards after Leclerc took evasive action at Turn 14 when Camara blocked him through Subida dos Boxes during qualifying simulation runs.
Palmer attributed the near-miss to inexperience and drifting on track, while Collins argued the issue stemmed from 2026 engine regulations restricting power deployment as drivers prepare for flying laps. Camara stepped in for Esteban Ocon at Haas for the Interlagos race weekend ahead of a full-time seat in 2027.
