The Story in 60 Seconds

Ted Kravitz praised Ferrari's new aerodynamic upgrades introduced for Charles Leclerc's SF-26 ahead of the 2026 United States Grand Prix at COTA. Ferrari introduced their final chassis package of the season, which includes updates to the floor body, floorboard, sidepod inlet, and diffuser. Kravitz highlighted a distinctive aerodynamic element attached to the tub, referred to as the "snowplough," designed to direct airflow underneath the floor to increase overall downforce.

The development push comes as Ferrari attempts to counter recent consecutive victories by Red Bull's Max Verstappen. Led by chassis technical director Loic Serra, Ferrari hopes the increased diffuser volume and revised floor edge will resolve vulnerabilities in high-speed corners. Drivers Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton enter round 18 of the 2026 season having each secured one Grand Prix victory.
