Adam Scott was "desperate" to finally win a Presidents Cup. After the Internationals collapsed on Sunday, an uncomfortable truth lingered.

Adam Scott faced another defeat at the Presidents Cup, continuing a long-standing quest to secure a victory in the biennial event. Scott, a former Masters champion and World No. 1, has played in every Presidents Cup since his debut in 2003, with the International team failing to win any of those appearances.
The veteran Australian golfer has openly discussed chasing career-fulfilling milestones in his later competitive years, including a second major championship and a Presidents Cup victory. Past near-misses for Scott include a 16-14 loss to the United States in Australia in 2019, where he was defeated in singles by Xander Schauffele.
