Andy Murray failed to replicate his tennis brilliance when taking on Piers Morgan in a golf contest.

Andy Murray was beaten by broadcaster Piers Morgan during the 2025 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship team event. Murray, who retired from professional tennis in 2024, partnered with English golfer Eddie Pepperell to finish tied for 18th with a score of 23-under par. Meanwhile, Morgan teamed up with professional Matthew Jordan to secure a joint-fifth-place finish at 27-under par.
Murray will not have the opportunity to avenge the loss this week because he is absent from the pro-am celebrity field. Despite falling short of Morgan on the final leaderboard, Murray produced standout moments during his appearance, including an 80-foot birdie putt on the 13th hole. The amateur team tournament was won by Cian Foley and Australian professional Harrison Crowe at 33-under par.
