Major champion Graeme McDowell announced that he would not sign with LIV 2.0 in a social media post this week.

Former U.S. Open champion Graeme McDowell has announced his departure from LIV Golf, confirming he will not take part in LIV 2.0. The 47-year-old stated on social media that he is grateful for his four years with the league and looks forward to the next chapter of his career. McDowell's exit comes ahead of the deadline for 2027 player commitments under LIV CEO Scott O’Neil.
His decision follows the DP World Tour's announcement banning any players signed to LIV 2.0 from its tournaments, forcing players to choose between the circuits. McDowell previously expressed a desire to play on the DP World Tour in 2027. He joins several other prominent players exiting LIV, including Ian Poulter, Louis Oosthuizen, and Jon Rahm.
