Sergio Garcia, the 2017 Masters champion, is leaving the LIV Golf League and returning to the DP World Tour, he announced on social media Thursday.

Sergio Garcia announced on social media Thursday that he is leaving the LIV Golf League to return to the DP World Tour next season. The 46-year-old Spaniard and 2017 Masters champion served as captain of Fireballs GC since June 2022. Garcia also confirmed that he remains open to a potential return to the PGA Tour in the future.
Garcia previously sought to terminate his LIV contract following the league's Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing in September. He rejoins the DP World Tour after paying over $1 million in fines for competing in conflicting events. Garcia stated he aims to earn a spot on the European Ryder Cup team next year at Adare Manor.
