Get set for drama in Delhi: 2026 DP World India Championship preview

Rory McIlroy and defending champion Tommy Fleetwood headline a star-studded 132-player field at the 2026 DP World India Championship. Taking place from October 15–18 at Delhi Golf Club, the tournament features a record-breaking $4 million prize purse, marking the largest payout for a DP World Tour event in India. The field includes reigning Major champions Aaron Rai and Ryan Fox alongside international standouts such as Justin Rose, Patrick Reed, and Shane Lowry.

Serving as the penultimate event before the season-ending DP World Tour Play-Offs, the tournament presents a tight, tree-lined 6,912-yard layout where players frequently bench their drivers. McIlroy aims to climb the Race to Dubai standings, while Fleetwood looks to defend his inaugural title against strong competitors and local contenders like Shubhankar Sharma and Anirban Lahiri.
