Rarely seen mistakes lead to rules penalties during the second round of the PGA Tour’s Vidanta World Mexico Open.

PGA Tour players Tom Kim and Brian Campbell each received two-stroke penalties after hitting each other's golf balls from a greenside bunker on Friday. The incident took place on the par-4 9th hole during the second round of the Vidanta World Mexico Open at Vidanta Vallarta.
Both players entered the hole at nine-under for the tournament before making double bogeys following the breach of Rule 6.3c (1). They corrected the mistake prior to submitting their scorecards, avoiding disqualification and qualifying to play the weekend.
