The Story in 60 Seconds

MyGolfSpy, in collaboration with Arccos Golf, published a 2026 full-bag distance chart analyzing real-world club performance by age group. The study evaluated more than 30 million shots from 73,794 male and female golfers tracked between August 20, 2025, and August 19, 2026. Distances were measured as total yardage including carry and roll, covering clubs from drivers down to lob wedges.

The data shows male driver distance remains steady through the 20s and 30s at 236 yards before declining sharply after age 50 to 191 yards in the 70s band. Women's driver averages similarly decrease from 212 yards in their 20s to 166 yards in their 60s. The report also highlights distance compression among fairway woods and hybrids in older age groups.
