Mitsubishi Golf Releases Limited U.S. Open Shaft and Gear

The company is celebrating the 2026 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills with a 'Red, White, and Blue' collection, headlined by a special edition of its popular Diamana BB shaft.

Mitsubishi Golf has released a limited-edition “Red, White, and Blue” collection to coincide with the 2026 U.S. Open. The gear drop features a special Diamana BB shaft, a hat, and a ball marker, celebrating the major championship taking place at Shinnecock Hills.

The centerpiece is the Diamana BB wood shaft, a profile designed for mid-launch and mid-spin characteristics. This balanced performance is suited for golfers with a smoother swing tempo who want a controlled trajectory without sacrificing distance. The shaft’s construction uses advanced materials to achieve this feel. Super high-modulus 80-Ton Dialead Pitch Fiber is placed in the butt section to maximize energy transfer, while a 46-ton fiber in the angle plies reduces torque for greater stability through impact.

Mitsubishiโ€™s proprietary Xlink Tech system is also incorporated, increasing the shaft’s overall strength while enhancing the volume of carbon fiber for improved feel. The design pays tribute to the brand’s history and the major itself. The classic Diamana surfboard logo returns, a nod to the middle ground between the company’s roots in Japan and its presence in California. Within the shaftโ€™s signature plumeria flower band, there are subtle design elements referencing the host course, Shinnecock Hills, all finished in a distinct ion plating.

This release continues a trend from Mitsubishi of offering limited drops around major championships. Beyond the shaft, the collection includes a collaborative Branded Bills hat and a commemorative ball marker featuring the RWB surfboard logo. As a limited-edition offering, the collection is aimed at enthusiasts and collectors looking to commemorate the 2026 championship with tour-grade equipment. The Diamana BB profile has been a popular choice for professionals and amateurs seeking a stable, smooth-feeling shaft.
