Nathan Kimsey: DP World Tour golfer on playing in Abu Dhabi

Golfer Nathan Kimsey stated he is happy to trust the DP World Tour regarding player safety at the upcoming tournament in Abu Dhabi. Kimsey gained entry into the Abu Dhabi Aldar Championship field after sitting 72nd in the Race to Dubai rankings, following withdrawals by other eligible players. Fellow Briton Matt Fitzpatrick had previously expressed security concerns about traveling to the Middle East and is not listed in the field.

Kimsey noted that the tour has kept players informed of contingencies and that contacts living locally confirmed conditions are safe. Currently enjoying a strong season with five top-10 finishes and £448,000 in earnings, Kimsey aims to perform well in Abu Dhabi to break into the top 50 and qualify for the season finale in Dubai.
