Odyssey’s 2026 putter lineup is a story of two extremes. The brand’s Zero Torque models delivered dominant, category-leading results in recent testing. However, its classic blade and mallet designs fell well short of the competition, ranking near the bottom of their respective fields.
The data is definitive. Odyssey’s premier Zero Torque putter ranked first out of 26 models tested, posting an impressive 48.9 percent make rate. A second Zero Torque model secured sixth place with a 48.0 percent make rate, confirming the technology’s effectiveness across the board. The top model was particularly strong from short range and also produced the best long-range score of any Odyssey putter tested, making it a reliable performer from all distances.
In contrast, the brand’s more traditional offerings did not fare well. The two Odyssey blade putters finished 16th and 17th out of 24, with make rates below 42 percent. One model recorded the single worst mid-range performance score in the entire blade category. This inconsistency makes them a difficult recommendation against a field where top performers clear 44 percent.
The results for Odyssey’s mallets were even more concerning. One model finished 28th out of 29 mallet putters, with a make rate of just 39.5 percent and the weakest long-range score in its class. For golfers, the performance gap between Odyssey’s different putter types is now too large to ignore. The findings highlight the importance of impartial data in equipment selection, a process one reader described as providing: “The BEST unbiased advice.”
