Stewart's remarkable week earned him almost as much as he had made in the previous 12 years of his professional career

Scottish professional golfer Michael Stewart nearly doubled his 15-year career earnings by finishing tied for fourth at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. The 36-year-old shot a final-round 66 at the Old Course to finish alongside Tommy Fleetwood, earning €197,170.81 (around $222,000) in just his fifth DP World Tour start.
Prior to the event, Stewart had earned an estimated $270,000 across multiple developmental circuits and previous tournament appearances. Despite qualifying for the Open de Espana, Stewart indicated he plans to compete at the Tartan Pro Tour's season-ending Gleneagles Masters to secure a HotelPlanner Tour card.
