Slow play has become more of a talking point throughout the last few years, so which of the main Tours have done the most work to try and eradicate it…

Professional golf circuits are intensifying efforts to combat slow play through monetary fines, public stroke penalties, and published player tracking data. Matt Cradock highlights that the LPGA Tour and LIV Golf have emerged as the most aggressive in penalizing players, whereas the PGA Tour has been the most lenient, having not issued a slow play penalty in an official tour event since 2017.
Key enforcements include the DP World Tour penalizing Gregorio de Leo and Jacob Skov Olesen, alongside strict financial penalties. Meanwhile, the LPGA Tour has issued stroke penalties to multiple competitors including Carlota Ciganda and Yealimi Noh, while LIV Golf has sanctioned players like Richard Bland and Adrian Meronk.
